Friday fantasy home: Lodge an appeal for funding

Logging onto myhome.ie can be akin to listening to Damien Rice on loop as I recalculate our ever rising negative equity. Then I pretend that I have won the Lotto and go about choosing homes for my generous budget.

Kensington Lodge (€1.2 million squids) on Grove Park, Rathmines, is very different to its more traditional Victorian neighbours and looks like it's hot off the pages of LivingEtc.

Located near the Grand Canal end of Rathmines, the four-bedroom Queen Anne-style lodge has 3,000 sq. of meticulously restored space and is jam-packed with ornate features.

P.S. Tomorrow's Lotto jackpot is heading for €2.5 million.
